Music on a small circuit

I saw a video years ago of people making music on small circuits. Every element of the music was on the circuit (afaik), sequencer, oscillators etc. The music was played back simply by connecting a 9v battery to the circuit. Does anyone know what this is idea is called, I thought it was chip tune but that doesn't seem to be specific enough to this actual idea of making the music on a circuit.

Modifying an existing circuit to make it do something it was never intended is called circuitbending. The results can sometimes be musical - in a dubstep sort-of way.

Search for "circuitbent" on YouTube, to see if this is what you are looking for.

Cheers mate but it's not circuit bending, these circuits are made from stratch with only what's needed for each peice of music.
