If they do a Jupiter 6 emulation as well as they did one, I'll get the credit card out. Jupiter 8... While that is obviously a great synth, it's not something that I'm really interested in. But I've always wanted a Jupiter 6 - it's clearly the badboy of the two, and tends to sound fresher to my ears. So much of what comes out of the Jupiter 8 just screams early eighties to me.

They're DCOs following a single clock signal so there's not much room for drift.

Oscs are in sync but pulse widths have a bit of spread, it produces a cool "haze" (for lack of better word). Filters are even more spread and unison filter sweep is definitely different. And finally (at least in mine) output stage seems to produce additional grit when stressed with 6 synced voices. Now, portamento, that one is ugly (and I'm not that fond of filter but that's subjective (& minority I guess) opinion)

I like the 106, but the unison sound isn't really the unison sound that most people are looking for(basses). I will have to try the filter more in unison after reading your post.
