Mastering Engineer for vinyl release. Urgent

Hi slutzz!
I'm here to research some of your hints about good mastering engineers.

Im actually a ME too with a dedicated studio for that, but I dont like mastering my tracks (due to ear saturation from the production stage).

I do actually have my ME that does the job 200% and knows exactly what I want as the final picture.
Unfortunately he wont be able to master my upcoming release due to some studio issues.

So Im searching for good hints on master engineers.

The ones I know and I realize they're doing good masters are guys like robert babicz, tim xavier, handlewithcare (which already worken on a master of a record of mine), redshape...and so on.

What's your suggestion on this?
Im really picky and a simple limiter wont fool me...i really need a good master to enjoy. (Im anti loudness btw)

So far Redshape has been the one who I enjoyed or suited more fore my music. Nice definition on low frequencies, crisp highs, and really well balanced medium freqs.

If im missing something here just shout or send me a pvt msg or e-mail to:

Thank you! :D

Brad Blackwood is great, nice prices and he posts here on GS and is great with communicating, I think if you arent going to attend the session he would be one of my top choices. If you can afford it Sterling Sound has some great guys as well.

I'll second Dietrich Schoenemann at Complete and throw in Mark Richardson @ Prairie Cat. I've had both master records for my label, and bounce back and forth between the two. I think Mark may be better suited for more dynamic and "raw" house cuts. Dietrich is more transparent, but will get it loud if that's what you desire. Either will work with you though, and I know I really sent Mark through the ringer on my last job...but he's patient as hell, and I appreciate that.

Both roughly the same price. Bonus for Mark if you use URP to press though, since you can take advantage of their discounted offers and request him specifically without extra fees, since he does a lot of their lacquer cuts anyway.

Thank you all for your hints. Will have a look around to see who I'll choose.

Btw, I don't want the lacquer to be done there. Just need the final master in Wav format to send to the pressing plant.

Ill let you know who I chose and my feedback on the master!

Once again, thank you

but cutting the lacquer is part of the mastering process.

you should speak to whoever you choose about the process. there are guys who will 'master for vinyl' and send a wave file to whoever cuts the lacquer but chances are there will be further adjustments during the cutting process and your wav file master will get 'mastered' again a bit.

for example, i once had a track premastered for vinyl and when it came time to be cut i got a call and was told there was just no way the track was gonna go down on vinyl w/o summing the bass to mono up to 400hz.. even though it had been 'premastered' for vinyl.

just food for thought. my advice is to ask a lot of questions

I use Sam at Precise Mastering, he specializes in vinyl. I've had nothing but good results, he's anti loudness, all analog.
