How many different synths are there?
About how many different hardware synths? Software synths? Do you think there are more hardware synths or software synths? My guess would be hardware but I have no clue lol. What if someone (like myself) wanted to own all the synths? Would it be possible? lol
Sometimes I wonder...

Are we talking ever, or just in production now.
Software has a big edge in production now I would guess.

We should count the future.
2912 - KalQuestoTron - the first genetically engineered synth. Each cell is an oscillator, filter, and neural sequencer. Can be delivered via injection to always play 'hold music' in your head.

I had 3 synths, then I sold them. So I know that there are probably 3 or more out there. So my answer is:
probably 3 or more
