Beautiful music. But don't give all the credit to the Polysix. The Polysix is a cool synth. It was my first poly. Probably wouldn't be where I am today had I not picked it up when it first came out (shocking how seemingly insignificant events can be monumental)....I still think it's a very unique Poly. Korg cranked out the Mono Poly at the same time.. exclusively different,, but from the same mold. They are both gems. The Polysix can be very warm and fuzzy, and it can also get extremely nasty with the phaser and chord memory or unison. That';s what it has over a Juno. Well maybe not over a Juno,, but different from a Juno
thank you guys!
I think the P6 is more than a simple pad/string synthesizer. the sound is very different to the Juno series. I like both.
I planned to sell my 106 when the Polysix came into my life but I couldn't do it. There just wasn't enough overlap in the sound. I still need to convince myself to let go of the 106...
Also, I love your tune and the overall sound. I've had my P6 running through a vintage yamaha digital delay and vintage roland reverb, really helps it come alive.
Its interesting how some people (myself included) describe the Tridents tone as 'Majestic', shown up particularly in pad/string sounds.
I can hear this charactor in the Polysix pad sound in the background. Although they sound generally different overall, there is a definate 'Korg' sound from that era.

I love vintage Korg strings and pad sounds. Korg PolySix, Trident, PE series and Lambda are my favourite string machines. I'd describe the Lambda's sound as "majestic" :-) Since I only have a Lambda, I wonder how similar it is to Trident. I think they all share certain character.
Very cool synth Eddy72, you are fortunate to own one in what appears to be fantastic condition.
Now maybe you could become familiar with a legitimate DAW, record that piece into said DAW, cut it up, filter the f*ck out of it and make something that doesn't sound like the ending credits to every 1980s disaster movie ever made.

all cudos to polysix sounding beautiful here withstanding, i dare say you guys are somewhat missing the point...
this track, i refuse to call it demo, is all about talent and ability of the person who made it. even if done on a juno60 or something else, with some change in overall character, it would still be haunting and beautiful. imo. so, fantastic work eddy72... if you have a wav master of this, id love to listen to it in my car.
reminds me somewhat of late70/early80 period of certain German trio..
as often happens in life.. a refurb Polysix sprang up for sale today by a friend of mine..... dammit
