I don't often have to do refunds unless it's like a PC user who's bought the plugin assuming it will run on Pro Tools, but once I had a customer buy 'Boosts' from back in the dawn of time and finally admit he wasn't happy with it. Neither was I, and I'd discontinued/replaced it, but I gave him a refund over a year later out of my own pocket (refunds actually cost me money because I don't get 100% of list through Kagi)
When I switched to PPC/32-bit/64-bit plugins, I went through every single plugin I'd ever released, and updated every user I'd ever had- not just current plugins, but the most complete history of Airwindows plugins I could come up with, over 100 in total updated to 64-bit builds, all the legacy stuff. For free. That's why it took so long.
I think you're thinkin' of somebody else
Email me about the refund! Unless you want to keep using it which is okay too. I'm sure I could have communicated that more clearly. |
sorry..must be my fault that i expect any plug in in the year 2012 to be ready for 96 k.. and i havent seen anything on your page that mentioned 44 k required..are you sure that this was there all the time?
And why do you offer plugs that only run on one samplerate in the first place? is there a special reason?
and the plug i accidentally took is high impact

If I remember correctly, that one is sample rate independent- only ones based on convolution require a sample rate, and even that only means 'it will sound different run at a speed other than what the algorithm's expecting'. It builds up a convolution impulse on the fly based on what the circuit would be doing and how much energy's going through it, and then applies it...

But this plug is not convolution based.. or? so i guess the incompatibility is rather in the bug department than really neccessary.

Email me, I'll get it working at 96K for you. There's no reason High Impact shouldn't be working for your 909 kicks. There's no 'warranty expiration date' or anything like that, and it doesn't matter that it's been discontinued for so long- if I can find a reason why it's not running at 96K, I'll fix it for you and update everybody who has one, free.
First I'll give you the 64 bit update for it, if you didn't have that...

Man, as a user of Airwindows i want to tell that these are the only plugins that just works without any hassle, and they works just excellent! I money was not a question i'd buy and use them all.
The only disturbing thing is somehow tangled website ) But being designer myself, i can help Chris to organize it in a nice way.

Also serious here (though I have some stuff I'm trying to get done), have you got examples of plugin websites that are really done right organizationally? I'm sure I can make some progress if I only have a better idea of what I'm trying to get to...

As for more or less organized and good looking sites of plugin makers... Toneboosters site come to my mind. As i remember, their site is the best i saw last times.

Just thought I'd jump in here to say a quick thanks for all the free plugin updates I've received recently. I'm a low-key fanboy but there are some Airwindows plugins that do things no other plugins that I've tried can do. The most notable ones for me, and the ones that get used in every mix, are ToVinyl, ToTape(3), and Console(2). I also use Ditherbox on every mix but I feel a little strange calling a dither algo indispensable.
Keep up the great work, Chris!
