Synthesizers on Android

What synthesizers are available on the Android platform and wich ones are good ones? And...... what extra's are usefull to get the most out of them?

I mean the apps you can download on your phone or tablet....

Caustic is pretty much the only one. The problem with Android is it isn't built for low-latency audio like iOS, so there are very few real-time synths out there for the platform. Thousands of different hardware and software configurations probably doesn't make it easier to develop real-time synths for the platform.

Spc is another one and touchdaw is cool as well (control surface software). Ice cream sandwich supports midi over usb so hopefully we'll see more soon

Android in as OS, Ipad is a custom Hardware/Software unit. No standardized hardware=very few worthwhile media apps.

SunVox is surprisingly versatile and good sounding, it's easily the best 'synth' on Android. It actually has several synth types, virtual analog, FM, samples, drum machine and more. Half a dozen effects. Sequencer. Modular signal routing. Excellent interface that's usable even on small-screen devices. To be honest I've only scratched the surface of what you can do with it but there's a lot of possibilities.

edit: Check the video on this page:

Electrum Drum is a fun drum machine to play with, does sampling, has some basic effects, includes access to a bunch of free sample packs.

TouchDAW is the best DAW controller I've tried. Can be a pain to set up but works surprisingly well once it's going.

Velocity Funk and others... If you do not use Android, please refrain from posting... "The IPAD is better" stuff has no place in this thread..

Actually I do own Android and I agree ipad / iphone is "better". The audio latency in Android is horrible. I cannot even use a simple BPM counter with this crazy delay. Not to mention more sophisticated audio tools. Big disappointment for me.
