Hard Reset for Poly Evolver?

Hey is there a way I can hard reset this and initialize all patches? Seems like I've misplaced my manual.

Dave Smith Instruments. Troubleshooting the Poly Evolver Keyboard.

it says no full hard reset but the factory patches are available for download.

Thanx, didn't mean reset as in restoring to factory state, I mean all patches are basically saw inits...I want to do it without buying the editor from sound tower....I feel like its a rip.

No need to buy the editor. Get the sysex here: Dave Smith Instruments. Evolver Programs, Manuals, Downloads.

and load it onto the evolver using one of the following sysex utilities:

Windows
MIDIOX
Bome's Send SX - Bome Software - Freeware for sending and receiving any MIDI messages

Mac
s n o i z e : SysEx Librarian

also looks like you can get the manual at that 1st link.

the soundtower editor is actually really really good. patch genetics is worth the price alone imo.

as for loading the init patch in every mem slot.. not sure.. you could just copy paste it 1000+ times

Do a search for Evolver patches. I'm pretty sure one of the patch banks (might be Evolutionaries) has the entire 4th bank empty

If there isn't, just do what I do.

Save 128, the initial patch, (in whatever bank) to 127. Start programming 127. When you have something you want to save, save it. Then save 128 to 126. Etc etc.

Not the best system, but it's easy and it works.
