Good vintage synth technicians in Sydney, Australia?

Hi Guys,

I'm hoping some other Aussies on this site can point me towards a really good synth technician in Sydney, who looks after vintage analogue instruments.

I'm about to take the plunge and buy a Korg Trident (or possibly something similar... perhaps a Jupiter 6... if I decide the Trident is too risky!!). I'd love some recommendations for an experienced technician who can help with any issues my new analogue synth might have on arrival (and hopefully for years into the future).

I'm in the Inner West, but can travel a bit for someone who really knows vintage synths backwards.

Thanks in advance guys!

Cheers,
Mike

OK I've got a Voyager with a very simple problem but it's no longer under warranty.

I've also got an Ace Tone Top 9 combo organ (1968) with very complex problems and I imagine probably no longer under warranty.

Steve is the man but from what I know he is super busy with another business and finds it hard to fit stuff in now.

Hopefully he can help.

Thanks guys - overwhelming support for Steve as THE guy to look after vintage synths in Sydney!

I've already communicated with him and had some helpful advice before buying my Trident. Feel like it will be in good hands if there are any problems with it in the future.

I think Steve is getting out of the synth repair game for the time being and concentrating on his store. (Hopefully Steve can chime in)

What do you need done? I'm in Sydney and take on synth repair / restoration projects when I'm free.

I have a Roland TB 303 that needs the decay pot repaired. It doesn't work when I turn it and I'm not game enough to open it..

Yeah his synth repair site is down so I'd rather leave that for the time being and try and find someone else... Can anyone else recommend vintage synth repairer? As I said in a previous post my DECAY pot on my 303 is not working an needs to be fixed. Thanks

He'll do it

You just have to call him, slot in a time so he can be there at his shop to meet you.
At least that's what he told me.

if you're prepared to ship it, there's nobody i'd choose over Robin Whittle for 303 repairs..
