Japanese slutz...or slutz in Japan

Hey, I'm living in Japan and well basically wondering if anyone else in here is too?

I'm wanting to trade gear, buy gear and just generally slut it up so finding fellow slutz could be useful for that.

Yoroshiku.

Hi, I'm not in japan but in hongkong.
And I've not any japanese gears except my Canare 2T2S cables, Canare 4S8 cables, Denon DJ monitor headphone and an unused and very old Denon hifi system. Now most of my gears are from USA and UK, and some softwares from germany and tel aviv.

ahh.... i've just remember that i've Sony Soundforge that I don't know is it a japanese gear? (maybe the development line not)

all the way, welcome

I'm jealous! Wish I could live there.

I'm actually a huge anime/jrock fan, always loved the way modern japanese rock mixes sound. Still more raw and "cool", not over processed sounding. It's a shame those artists and the mixes they get don't get recognition over here. It would be awesome to be a part of that scene! Good luck finding some other sluts.

As an aside, some of the newer J-rock mixes I've heard that I really dug were the School Food Punishment singles ("How to Go" comes to mind). Such a unique band and the mix engineer, whoever it was, definitely had to have an imagination to "paint the landscape" that band creates.

not sure really be nice to trade some stuff. trying to find a FS1R at the mo. I found a shop that has one but they want 100,000 yen which is a bit steep.

Just be nice to meet other musical people.

right on. would be nice if more people from this region got involved. always good to network, share ideas, info etc. most times I get to tokyo for a show and day or two of play... shops are so way hyped in prices! anyway, I have a short list that my girl checks on occasionally for me when she travels around to different cities

btw I dont have that yamaha synth, sorry. the only thing that I am up for selling/trading right now is a djm 800 mixer that I used for only one week..

what kind of music are you doing?

maybe we should do a general asian slutz thing as there are probably more people in taiwan, hong kong, singapore, malaysia etc.

fs1r's are tricky to find, they dont even come up on yahoo auctions that often.

Come to think of it there is a guy called atsushi_hoshiai who was very helpful in my search for a good x0xb0x that never came to fruition.
Seemed a nice and very bright guy. I believe an electrical engineer or some kind of gear builder.
Haven't seen him here in quite some time though.

I lived in kasukabe for over a year in the late 00s. You can get to the centre of Tokyo in less than an hour from there and rents were cheap.

Great scene great film.
Asian chicks don't do much for me.
Good thing. I never made enough money for their parents not to hate me.

It was a weird movie - all filmed outside of London. Largely at the Becton Gas Works in East London which was a toxic dump. Fake plam trees etc.

Aha - another thread about GS users in the region that inevitably descends into the usual BS...

Is it OK if I start a thread about US chicks or Euro chicks in the EMI forum? I've got a shedload of stereotypes and anecdotes, I'm sure you'll all LOOOVE them.

EDIT: and yes, I AM a humourless dude sat at my computer looking for excuses not to do the writing that I'm supposed to be doing, before anyone asks...

Right, because this thread was such a success we though we'd spice it up some and thanks for continuing to do so.
Point is: not many slutz in Japan. Or Asia in general from what I have seen. Which this thread was supposed to find out initially, not chicks. BTW where are all the chicks on GS? Not many of them either. Or am I stereotyping?
Room full of guys and chicks come up in threads.
No harm done.

^ As i said, I am currently the most humourless person you could wish to meet.

I dunno, maybe there are loads but they open up the thread and think 'yawn, same old same old' and don't bother posting?

Room full of guys on GS discussing something, _maybe_ the theme of chicks comes up; add 'Asia' to the equation and it's _guaranteed_.

Anyway, don't mind me, I seem to be in the minority on this issue.
