YOU ARE IN MY SYSTEM or something like that if I recall.
Yep,that bass line is one bitch of a LINE TO PLAY.
I've tried so it makes sense it was sequenced and 2 bass lines going.
One line bends down and the other stays constant.
DAvid Frank and the System, they had a few hits.

As there has been some speculation to whether the Phil Collins that posted here is the actual Phil Collins, I suggest a simple verification test.

Information has been given to me, some questions that only the real Phil should know the answer to. Since it was a long time ago, I can give a hint to jog the memory.

1: What totally unknown, obscure band was Phil in before his solo career.

(hint, starts with a G)

2: What instrument did you play in that band

(hint, drums)

If you can remember, and answer the questions correctly, congratulations, you are the real Phil Collins, and we are grateful for your input.

Regards,

Michael

I have worked out how to replicate this patch.

Take two Prophet 5's, detune one of them..

The drums are a tr 909. I made a reproduction and it's nearly indistinguishable 1:1 from the real track. You can clearly hear the 909s clap and rimshot. The drums were put through a AMS RMX 16 and gated. I don't care who says it was a dmx. The album even said tr 909.
