This alone would qualify as slutty considering that it's only the 3rd! I have the mPressor plug and a real xpressor. So I can kind of triangulate what you must be hearing. I'm sure you'll get a lot compressed in a lot of different ways, and the dragon can only take that further (though you may end up wanting a second unit). Congrats on the stellar outboard.

Though, don't forget the importance of very good character EQs!

Thankfully I haven't gotten the hardware EQ bug. The hardware compressor bug was plenty expensive. At the moment I'm doing all my EQing ITB. For "character" stuff I have hardware compressors/filters/distortion/preamps/DIs along with lots of plugins.

See around 12:33.

Maybe it was originally intended to process longer times and they put in the limit for some reason?

At any rate, I hope they extend the limit in a future update. It would be really nice to process longer sample times. As long as they don't put longer processing into an "advanced" version and charge more $$.

My first purchase in over a year, wanted a Tempest, but upon careful deliberation I figured I need a good polysynth above anything else (my only polysynth is the Korg R3, which I really like, but it's a bit limited as far as modern polys go). ... Very happy with this, I wasn't really in to it a few years back, but I used one last year to help a friend on his album and really fell in love with it by the end of the session.

or even better, a quicksilver devilfish! Which I'm calling a silverfish. Used to have those annoying lil buggers at my old house. lol. Apparently Robin Whittle is already planning to do one soon. And, thanks to his help the quicksilver mod includes filter control! and it's got usb midi now too. it's the best thing to happen to the 303 in years.

@squatski congrats. there is only one 303. personally i find it easier to program compared to the x0x.

@laikenf nice Nords are great VA polys if you know what you're doing, myself recently got a nord lead 1 and it's the bomb. as a former juno owner it can easily replace it (and then some) with that TAL chorus on top.

okay i really need to stop buying stuff now. I couldn't turn this one down, I bought it possibly broken/as-is for less than half of what it's normally worth. Apparently it powers on and LEDs light up and then...who knows what. It seems all in-tact and such, so I'm fairly certain it should be fixable. I'm going to try to fix it myself first, assuming there's actually something wrong. either way I figure once it's fixed this was a steal. I'll probably install a midi trigger kit for it and try to find a replacement for the missing button.

hey, if you've got the space, there are few better ways to make you feel like a big man than adding another synth to the armory on the cheap

I bought a DX21 the other day, it came with all the original manuals and it's original data cassette for reloading patches/performances.

Yeah, it's in pretty good shape for its' age. I don't actually have it in my possession yet. It'll be here Monday.

Maybe I shouldn't post it until I actually have it?

Not a lot of info online about them. Some say there are noisy. I also heard that some use it to overdrive.

I saw a guy using this in a video yesterday. Didn't hear too much noise.

Anyways, I'm not going for the 'crispy clean digital' sound.
