Signature deadmau5 uplifter style synth

http://soundcloud.com/****mylife

The **** in the link should be pretty obvious imo lol

Listen to 0:30 - 2:20 in the song Fn Pig.

I can hear that there is definitively some sort of decay automation going on. What synths would you use to create a sound like this and how would you go about creating it. Been tinkering with my gear and can't get anything close yet.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

if you have it you can get pretty similar sound with dcam strobe with some automation on filter and asdr amp envelopes (use stack and detune with filter envelope). about that riser from 2:00 my guess is that he just stretched or looped the same sound in a sampler underneath and then in the end he automated filter and possibly some reverb and delay to make such a huge impact.

There's a preset in z3ta+ called "chords of life."

Or learn synthesis and make your own

Place a stereo mic pair underneath your toilet and eat a mexican feast for dinner. When you explode later on reverse the samples and add a bunch of delay.... pitch shift the sample into key and then glide upwards in octaves over the course of 16 bars. Be sure to try and timestretch the sample so that the sound of your turds hitting the water is the last thing you hear, an epic reverse-quasi climax into a super cheesey *clap clap*, before dropping the bass... i'm pretty sure that's how he does it.. a buddy of mine was an intern when he was working at a local studio way back...

What for when you can just post a bunch of threads and have people hold your hand to create the sounds for you?

BTW, to the OP, I think I saw an eBay auction for a DNA sample from Deadmau5. I think it comes with a syringe too so that you can inject his DNA into your system. You might be able to sound just like him. Might be another auction for a DNA sample from Skrillex too...

Just to add to that when you have the other track layered at the bottom use decay automation slowly building up.

That buddy must know Joel quite personally. Joel has been using pitch shifted bathroom noises with effects since he started. Its how he gets such a pumping feel to his music. Its truly organic. He really exploded on to the scene with it. He learned most of his tricks from BT, making him number two when it comes to original bathroom noise.
