So getting this will liberate you from using the hardware, by enabling you to use the mouse...

I never use the editor, except for the patch library (once).

You must love presets, either that or I'm guessing you have a dedicated hardware controller because the mopho is hell to program otherwise.

Sound Tower is the most lazy/costumer ignore software company I ever had something to do with. I lost the serial number of my Voyager edit program. I wrote to the costumer support, opened a support ticket, contacted them again many times during many months. No reply at all. Finally I asked Moog for help and they were very helpful and helped me quickly out. But Sound Tower - sorry to have to say it but it is nothing else than a big pile of number two as company were costumes pays for the products AND support for what they pay for. It's a shame.

That's good for you...but what this has to do with the rest of us?

Haha! No, the presets are horrible... I forget that having the keyboard makes things a lot easier. What I should have said was that I'm not sure I see the point of this for keyboard owners, I can see how module owners could get some use out of it

Blaargh, bought the Tetra one and I'm still waiting for my key to be sent via email, it appears it's not automated and I have to wait for one of their trained monkeys to wake up and send it to me.

That said, I haven't had the problems other people talk about. All their software has been stable for me. I barely ever touch either synth.
I bought the Mopho Pro Editor when it came out (long ago...). I was waiting for the vst-au UPDATE for more than a year (checking soundtower website everyday!!!!).
But it seems that I have to pay AGAIN for the PlugSE
So I will never buy something from Soundtower again (slap me if I do)

Sorry lol, I still don't understand. Total recall of what? Parameters? Turn the unit on and it's right where you left it. I must be missing something...

"right where you left it" isn't much use if you need to add a part to a track you were working on last week.

Soundtower site was down. I installed the demo, it crashed ableton already. if you close the vst window it seems it closes the actual plug in.

wtf.

the WORST company in the history of music. That photo of the three old fisherman posted as a joke... I'm starting to think that that is the real "sound tower team".

the vst'S get delayed without word and then when they do go up the site dies.
I'm not one to talk bad of companies, but christ sort it the F out.

Yep. I'm hoping that's a limitation of the demo. If the full version (if they ever email me my key) has the same problem I'll be asking for a refund.

Yeah, they should really give us some discount on it seeing as it pretty much makes the old editors redundant.

I just installed the Prophet 08 demo....it's AWESOME! best GUI I've seen for any editor....It's only 49 bucks...I cannot wait to buy this Friday!!!! Automation all from Cubase!!! I think the only synth I have that doesn't have a VST editor now is the poly evolver....there was a company making one but they have vanished

i think it is because in Cubase every time you bring up the plug, it asks you for the code again (or to choose demo)...the settings do stick though.

God I hope this works... the Tetra standalone editor is joke.

As much as I love the sound, I'm close to giving up on the Tetra because of this.

Ableton users beware! I just registered the full version and it only work with the VST window open! The moment I close it the Tetra stops receiving MIDI. This is a massive game-breaker for me as I need to be able to make changes on the Tetra channel without having the VST in the way.

Also, it doesn't seem to send start/stop sync messages so sequences don't run.

I've emailed them for a fix, I'll see what they say.

Has anyone tried the AU demo for Mopho yet? The Mopho doesn't react on any controls, vice versa it works well... I have tried different MIDI Interfaces, Live and Logic. Same behaviour for all. Can this be interpreted as "Writing to the Mopho is disabled."? I reckon it means sending and saving a patch via the editor, though?

From the manual:

Quote:
Click the PREFS button at the top of the Editor
window. This opens a window to allow you control
how parameter changes to and from the Tetra
PlugSE communicates with your host DAW and the
Tetra. A Default Settings is provided in the lower
left corner and a Cancel and OK button in the
lower right corner.
"Host" refers to the workstation that his running
the plug in (Cubase, Nuendo, Digital Performer,
Ableton etc.) You may have to experiment with the
various options to get the results you require.
There are 9 different options to toggle on and off. If my math is correct (and it probably isn't) that's 387 420 489 different possibilities of combinations I should 'experiment with'.

Not happy so far.
