I am glad to read they were helpful! They are now all (and more) in our Listening Room and therefore I decided to remove from here and save some webspace for others.

As stated above, our Waldorf Zarenbourg review will follow in the next days.

I was very surprised to see you choose it over your beloved CP-1 which I thought could not be beat , especially in electric pianos ( Rhodes ) . So is the Zarenboug really that much better in electric pianos than the CP-1 and Nords because this is my main focus , all the other sounds would just be a plus for me . I am especialy intrested in the tremolo and phaser sound , I can't find a good demo any where , maybe you can do one , that would be great but I know your busy having fun with your toys (lol) .

Whats the deal with the Zarenboug availability , especially here in the US .
I thought they where available as it seems you and a few others have them but I was told by the US distributor that they have no ideal when these thing will be available as if they where giving up on it .

I'm starting to think the CP-1 maybe a better choice because Yamaha is available and reliable ,if something goes wrong I know Yamaha will be there but right now I can't say the same thing about Waldorf, they seems a little behind in service .

BTW did the software editor and sample load thing ever come out .

Thanks for all your help .

Hey roc,

indeed, there are a lot of similar choices! Therefore you will not be surprised that I had the Elysia here for the LunchBox. Thank you very much, btw, for the kind words regarding my reviews.

Regarding Yamaha CP1 vs. Zarenbourg. Although the CP1 has one of the best keyboards I ever played with and its Grand(s) are better than the one in the Zarenbourg, it is no longer in my studio. I miss it for the Grand and some of the DX Pianos. But beside that, when it comes to Rhodes, Wurlitzer and CP-80 (!) the Zarenbourg is way ahead of the CP1. Therefore the CP1 is now in a storage room ..... What a shame! I know, but I do not have enough space. Bottom Line - if you primarily are looking for a Grand replacement, then currently I would not recommend the Zarenbourg. But if you are mainly interested in Rhodes, Wurlitzer you have to give it a try! Definitely.

I am sure they will be in Anaheim and maybe have news regarding their Zarenbourg sales in the US. However, I suggest to contact them. But you can also leave a comment at our review. Hopefully they also give some more insight into the Editor, which I would like to get for the FM Pianos and of course the Rhodes.

Cheers,
Peter
