Buchla is expensive (note I did not say "overrated"), and as other expensive things, it does kind of entitle people to feel part of some elite. Same thing when someone buys an expensive car, or an expensive house in an expensive neighborhood. Whether they flaunt it or not is another issue, but most people here with nice gear work their asses off and sacrifice other things to be able to buy whatever the f they want and do whatever the f they want with it. So you're damn right they feel part of a special elite... the elite of people who work for what they want and eventually get it.

Now, overrated? That's for owners to decide.

At Muff owners say they belong to an exclusive elite group of people
because they could afford a Buchla system. Whether that's ironical joke
or not somehow Buchla got some kind of elite stamp because of the pricing
scheme , but mind you it is expensive to manufacture modular shit and you

So is Buchla elite or not, would be nice to sort this issue out!

I have nothing against Buchla stuff, it's interesting products and he
recently sold his company. (this tread got inspired by some folks outrage
suggesting Moog being a elite manufacturer i always thought NED
and Fairlight was the elite's manufacturers ).
