Annoying Clicking Sound with SH-101

Gearslutz and hardware newbie here.

I was fortunate to save enough to buy an SH-101 recently from a ebay. The thing's in great shape apart from an annoying clicking sound that's audible when each key is pressed (sounds a bit like the sound you get when a sample hasn't been cut at o crossing).

This happens when keys are pressed hard or softly, when any combination of parameters are set and when the sequencer is playing. It also turns up when I record into Logic. The only time I don't hear it is when I'm using the arpeggiator.

I thought it might be something to do with too fast an attack, but it's present at any attack setting. I've also made sure nothing's peaking or clipping into Logic. I can still hear the same sound on headphones.

Any thoughts on what the problem is?

Its probably the attack, its pretty fast. Some people don't like it. I actually don't even hear it in mine.

Could also be the VCA has a DC offset and needs calibration or a defective BA662A...
