| Lives for gear | Who is your favourite Gearslutz producer?
As a kind of antidote to all those threads about megalithic producers (Skillex, Deadmaus, Justice et al) and minilithic 'producers' (construction-kit fiends and song-stealers) I thought we should have a positive thread about who your favourite Gearslutz producer might be. I nominate HP Sneakstep (gs name: sneaks), who's not very active on the forums, probably because he's busy making bonkers music (which is generally free to download...the latest work is a sonic homage to Stephen King's Dark Tower cycle). Moar here: Karakasa Music: H.P. Sneakstep So share which forum member has really impressed you either by skills, musical ability or sheer interestingness |

I don't spend enough time in the New Music thread, which is probably a mistake. But in terms of users who regularly post demos in threads, I'll give a shout out to payt and projectwoofer -- good sounds and good music WITHOUT $50,000 worth of gear!

ohmicide for the more modern sounding stuff. I'm also always impressed by whatever sizzlemeister cooks up. And who was that guy that did the Synthex demo? That was seriously the best sounding piece of production I have heard in this forum... I'll try and look it up. Edit: Here it is - Eric Destler is his name. Edit2: I also forgot kebu! But I see him more as a KSS member

Haven't been here very long but from what I've heard so far (3-4 tracks maybe) my vote goes to Praxisaxis! His "Elves vs Mecha" tune is brilliant

From the electronic music forum: Definitely "Derp". After i saw his photos (which are véry slutty), i wondered what kind of music he made. Really impressed with his sound and music! He actually uses all that gear. ![]() Best tracks i heard from anybody on here. And David Morley off course!!! |

Levon Vincent got suspended? Strange, he seemed to just ask HW questions. Anyway, shameful this guy hasn't been mentioned yet, 'cos a lot of us wouldn't've got jackin' without him: inthere An actual legend, and a great contributor.

![]() I've been woodshedding a lot and really haven't put out anything serious lately - but there are a lot of tunes on deck that just need finishing. I hope I don't disappoint! ![]() I've heard lots of good stuff on this forum over the years. I don't spend a lot of time on forums these days so, unfortunately, I don't recall the ones I like the best. What I've often thought would be a cool addition to a forum like this would be a way to compile the tunes you like into a collection, and sort of make the collection available for others to listen to. Sort of like a gearslutz radio station featuring ONLY gearslutz members.
