Which VSTi or Kontakt Libs would suit me best?

Welcome all, this is my first post, so I just wanted to greet you all and see that I am happy to have found this forum

My setup is the following:
I use a PC with M-Audio Fast Track Pro attached to USB. PC is top of the line, with SSD, enough RAM (16GB) etc. Got two decent monitor boxes, micro and that's about it.

I am a music composer so not a DJ or similar to that. I compose music with Sibelius and just writing down the notes, but then I need to mix it and for that I use Cubase 6.

Now the genres I compose generally for are: orchestral, choir music, big band, pop music, musical music, brass bands. That is the main scope.

For orchestral I found Miroslav Philharmonik and I must say I am quite satisfied with it. I hate the sound from Halion Sonic SE (that came with Cubase 6), so I removed that library.

PART 01)
I had other suggestions for orchestral and choir music, like EWQL Symphonic Orchestra and ProjectSam Symphobia II and others, maybe you guys can give comment on them.

PART 02)
I need some good suggestions for the other genres, such as pop music and musicals / big bands.
I was told that Vir2 would have some good libraries for this.
But I can also maybe use some softsynths? anyone can give some examples of them? In the past I used to have Edirol, some softsynths and they (for first hearing) were pretty acceptable with some of the sounds.
Some people suggested also EWQL Ministry of Rock II.

I want to hear from all you experts (on different levels), what would be the best choices for me to make?
Again, composing is my main expertise, the mixing and making it sound respectable is the 2nd priority, but still important!!

I hope to get some good help from all you people! Thanks already
