Easiest way to process ITB sounds with hardware?

I have a few moogerfoogers that I'd like to run ITB synths through.

I'm using a duet and small mixer right now. My duet is wired to take the mixer output into the mac and spit the output to my monitors. As you can see there isn't much room left to send audio in and out.

So my question: do I need to get a new interface with multiple channels to do this? Or is there some clever wiring trick I can do to get this done?

The only thing I can think of is running the duet into the mixer instead of directly to the monitors. Then run the foogers as an insert effect. But then I'd be getting a loop though since the mac outputs will be sent back in, right? Perhaps I'm missing something obvious? Or maybe it's time to upgrade the interface?

How do you guys do it?

You're probably gonna need at least another pair of stereo in/out. You COULD use a patch bay to temporarily wire in the moogerfoogers, but you'd still need another pair of outs to hear what you were doing.

I'm using a Motu HD192 (12 in 12 out) to send singals to avariety of hardware fx and then return them. The Motu interface and it';s software really makes this easy to do with or without your DAW. You need a PCI card for these. Motu also has firewire and USB interfaces like the "traveller" with 8 in 8 out.

send audio out of the duet for processing and back into the inputs. as for monitoring you can use the built in headphone output on the mac. you need to setup an aggregate device in the Audio MIDI setup.
