Moog slim/little phatty vst

Today got a response from moog on whether their vst would work with ableton live for mac....they said no....but they are releasing a new version that will work. Can anyone advise a proper solution for recording into live without the vst? Would usb routed into an audio track produce sound for the slim phatty?

No audio is ever transferred via USB with a Phatty, software nor not. MIDI and patch data only. You'll need to plug it's audio output into an audio interface of some sort.

Yea, i spoke with moog again today, and they said if you buy the vst, and provide them with your order #, they have a beta for a new vst that doesnt require all that wack midi track routing...ugh, hurts to shell out $70 for a beta. Im gunna wait

it's happening, for real this time... ReKon editor v2.1 I mean... VST, AU, and standalone versions, 32 and 64 bit plugins... works pretty well this time around. Tested working in Logic and Live...

Explain, do you still have to route midi tracks? Give us a quick rundown for the setup

Sounds like he's looking for something like the Virus Total Integration, but for the Little Phatty.

Not sure you are going to get that type of integration even with an LP VST. I mean, you can control the device through the VST, but you're still going to have to deal with the latency of the audio coming back into the computer. It wouldn't ever transmit the sound over the USB cable (and what would be the point of THAT with an analog synth?).

Probably the best you can hope for is a MoPho type VST controller.
