Skrillex and Aphex??

Just read something saying Skrillex is releasing something on Aphex's label.
The only soundcloud link provided was:
Steinvord - Steinvord -Lyff Acid Edit 1 (Rephlex) by pdis_inpartmaint on SoundCloud - Create, record and share your sounds for free

Sounds more like Aphex but wondering if anyone had more info?
Sounds like an interesting combination if there were a collab.

Sounds more like Skrillex to me. Aphex's beats are a little more...untamed.

EDIT: eh? The producer is called Steinvord:

http://www.myspace.com/steinvord

So it's not Skrillex or Aphex...it's Steinvord.

I don't get this part:

Did you listen to the entire track? There are some very untamed beats in there. The 303 style synth and the way it's used definitely reminds me of old aphex.

Yes, I find the beats good and interesting...I like them. But they don't feel on the untamed level of Druqs-era Aphex Twin, they're a little more conscious...more ordered. Also the percussion-production isn't as alien-metallic as we've come to expect from Aphex.

So it's not Skrillex or Aphex...it's Steinvord.

The music is good, but it's not special. Burial is a good example of when something special came along that the noise to find out who he was got too loud for him to stay hidden. Remember they all thought he was Aphex, or Fatboy, or any number of other recognised producers.

my first guess is that it's aphex twin.. sounds like him to me. his breaks get trashy like that and the acid sounds very aphex to me. he's done plenty of tracks that have pretty much this vibe.

edit - i'd be surprised (pleasantly) if it isn't aphex.. if so that is something to get really excited about since more artists making this kind of shit would make me really happy braindance for life yo! ftw and all that shit.

I bow to your greater ears...the more I hear it the more I think yous might be right. There's more dynamism in there than I first realised.

Whoever it is, it's very good.

I checked out the MySpace link and there's some other decent tracks there but none as good as the soundcloud link.

Sure as hell isn't Skrillex, and I don't think it's Aphex either.

So does anyone have any details on Skrillex joining Aphex's label?

Just doesn't sound like Aphex to me - the approach to the mix, in terms of the sense of space just sounds different, can't really pinpoint why exactly. Great track though, cheers for posting.

I can't see any way in hell that Richard James would associate with Skrillex in any way, let alone release one of his tracks on his label - I'd guess that he hates Skrillex's music with a passion. Could be wrong, but would be very surprised if I was...

If you like acid, have a listen to this. One of the best tunes I've heard in ages:

Yeah acid isn't really my thing, but I highly doubt that is Skrillex.

Looks like it was something started in 4chan XD

Didn't Skrillex say Flim was his all-time favorite track on Facebook? And all his fans bitched when listening cause it didn't have a "drop"?

At least I saw a screenshot of the whole miserable exchange.
