Ableton Live vs. Logic Pro under my circumstances?

I've demoed Live for a while now, I feel like I'm doing something wrong because I can't seem to find something that works. I've made one song which you can find at lonelyboy.bandcamp.com , but it doesn't seem to be getting anything good. I understand I need practice but the demo is up in 17 days :/ And I'm not sure if I should purchase Logic Pro and use that. I'm 1) looking to make post-dubstep and chillwave (SBTRKT, James Blake), 2) make legitimate hardcore dubstep (Skrillex), 3) rap production (A$AP Rocky stuff)

Thanks for any help you can give :/ I did search I just was unsure of how it fit my circumstances.

1. You're looking to make mostly loop based music, might as well get Ableton.
2. Delete the part about Skrillex before everybody jumps on you.

I just feel like I'm wasting my time issuing live when I could be using Logic which might be what I needed all along. And I don't care what people think about the skrillex comment, people buy that shit like crazy. Skrillex may sound horrible but in hind sight hes smart for making shit music that people WILL buy.

have you ever used logic?

is this your first 15 days with ableton?

judgements really shouldnt be made before you even know what you're doing. Ableton and Logic do the exact same thing. A song you make in Ableton, you should be able to make in Logic, and vice versa. Its all about workflow preference. Many people, along with myself, believe Ableton has a much higher ceiling for getting work done quickly. I say stick with ableton but if you want to go logic then go for it.

Nah. Logic's got way better plugs and more options, and I'll spork fight anyone to the bruise who wants to pretend otherwise.

Ableton for live performances though. Hence the name.

Its just not good because I can't demo Logic.

I've also been using Mutekki House Vol. 3 for a while to make everything. What can I use to make hip hop beats?

Have you messed around at all with GarageBand? It's a very feature-reduced subset of Logic. If you find it easy to work with, then Logic might be for you.
