Hi, How easy is it to cut and paste and such on the hard drive (not tape) ADATs?

Nothing is more satisfying than seeing a high quality human with low quality tools producing great music time after time! |

Thanks fella. Only think putting me off now is the outrageous second hand prices. Surely these are as obsolete as hardware samplers to most? |

I have one HD24. Awesome machine. You can use HD24tools. And an USB bracket for harddisks and import the audio required. HD24tools It's free. I allso own a Alesis fireport.

| No they are not obsolete. They were the best hard drive based multitrack recorders on the market back then and the audio quality is still excellent. They beat out Mackie, Tascam, et al. They retain their market value for a reason so you won't find many bargains.

I allso have an analog desk. So a RME RAYDAT, break out to a HD24 (or with XR converters) and now you have a meterbridge, recorder, converters, backup system etc... Great way to tie analog and digital together... Take two HD24XR's and you can do 48 channels 48khz and 24 channels 96khz... ADAT SYNC on the RAYDAT and HD24 ties the system down sample accurate.... |
