I get shocked when i touch the string

Here's my problem folk.. I've been playing guitar for a long time. Currently, i don't have an amplifier and i use my computer for amplifying my guitar through Guitar Rig 4. But these last days, strings has a remarkable amount of electric.. I'm wondering why does it happen.. Any ideas?

Are you using an interface?

Not sure why you aren't grounding, but that sounds like the issue.

I sometimes get shocked when I touch guitar strings.

Then I turn the amp down and start again...

Out of curiosity though, how does this work with laptops? I would have thought they'd need to be plugged into a power outlet with ground?
