Thread Starter | How to create this really cool reverb effect? Hi guys! I just listened to Mat Zo's new track bipolar and in one part of the record there is this really cool echo/reverb that goes tremolo and in different rhytms, sounds awesome! check from the drop at 1:30 and forward..Its really like the reverb/echo goes in a rhytm and communicates well with the synth riff.. I was thinking just having the reverb on a send and using a tremolo or something, Im not sure..any suggestion? |

Thread Starter | Im also curious about how to make that reverb effect that when lead stops playing then the reverb loads up and when it start playing again the verb goes away..this is later on with the chords in the track! |

| Can't listen to the track right now, but I think the answer to your second question could be an agressive side-chain compressor on the reverb or even a gate with a pretty high threshold sidechained to you lead-channel. |

| Automating the reverb bus volume and pan? Doesn't seem like it's only compression or tremolo. Later with the chords sounds more like sidechaining. |

| The first thing you are asking about sounds to me like- a.) Volume automation to make the reverb level swell + b.) Sidechain ducking from the kick The second thing you are asking about sounds to me like filtered noise through a 100% wet shimmer reverb such as Valhalla Shimmer or Strymon Blue Sky. It's an impressive production. Way more aggressive/in your face than is to my taste, but I can imagine this destroying some grateful dance-floors. . |

| Oh... Raymond wave beat me to it while I was typing. And yes- I forgot to say I thought I could hear some heavy panning- even apparent on my laptop. |
