I think there's some kind of discount if you own DCAM or were an early adopter, maybe that was just a dream...

I own the synth squad. With a decent discount I'll probably soon own this one as well. Looks good.

Just to let you know that we've rolled the resizable UI in to the next public beta of Synth Squad. Scaling from 0.5 up to 2.5x, will be particularly handy if the rumored Retina Display MacBooks turn up.

The new beta will be out some time in the new year, as will Tremor (although that one won't have scalable UI in its first incarnation, I'm afraid). Incidentally, DCAM Synth Squad & Geist owners will be eligible for an early-adopter discount on Tremor, so that's one more reason to pick it up while it's on sale.

It's not so much to do with converting pirates (I've yet to see a crack of Synth Squad that actually works properly for more than 10 minutes ), just giving a wider audience a chance to add some great synths to their arsenal.

I'm wondering if this will be able to operate standalone? Or does it need to be hosted in a daw?

IE: Can I drive it with my octatrack without needing to have live or machine running as well?

All of their other stuff runs standalone and even rewire in BFD2's case. I think it probably will if you look at what they have already done.

I would wait, you can make some pretty impressive drums with Strobe, if it's like Strobe + tailored for drums it should be pretty impressive at worst.

I was making a bad joke. This looks cool, especially the poly rhythmic sequencing options.

Oh, I like 606 hats :(

All their stuff is worth a look tbh, redopter is a bit dumb, but the rest is impressive imo.

Yeah, it runs both standalone and as a plugin.

I've been testing it out, and yes, it sounds great
Transmod on drum sounds is very nice as well.

DCAM and Geist owners will have a 33% off month long special on launch till Feb 9: $99.

It is 32 & 64 bit, and as Kickflip says, Tremor runs as a plugin or standalone.

Assuming all goes well on final webshop prep, it will be on sale Monday.

Drat, the 606 hihat was one we missed! ...pretty sure you can cover its sounds in Tremor happily.

Excellent! I hope it's great. Always been disappointed with other companies drum synths. Don't care for Drumaxx, Tattoo - Microtonic is about the best I found so far.

Wish someone would do a Vermona DRMIII style plugin / emulation

Do I like it? I've bought it already. It's dark dirty and intuitive, which is right up my street.

Nah it's great, actually better than I thought It would be. Will be buying very very soon. It's about time someone made something to Replace Waldorf Attack. Envelopes are very good, great to see Hold and Decay Curve.
