I think the Fast Track Pro would be out of your price range then.

Not when it is an unusable paperweight as in my case. At least I got some money back. I'm so glad that I don't have to deal with USB interfaces anymore.

I use a mia MIDI by Echo. It is a PCI audio/midi card that I had installed into my desktop.

Can the Microsampler's sequencer send MIDI out to other devices?
I searched the manual but it doesn't say either way.

It does have a MIDI out so I assume it send MIDI data but I don't know if you can sample on the unit at the same time. It would really cool if you could do this combined with the auto gate feature to quicly sample a keyboard synth.

I was actually just debating between the microsampler and esx-1. I ended up ordering the the esx-1 because of the more advanced sequencer, but I am still curious about this microsampler. Seems like it could be a great way to multi-sample a non-preset analog monosynth.
