Thread Starter | Better investment??
Im trying to decide on if I should get Maschine and the Yamaha MOX6 or get the MPC5000, Virus TI2 Polar and the Motif XS-rack? I have an imac 27" quad. 8 gigs ram 1tb harddrive. I have logic 8 along with Omnisphere. I also use Reason 5 from time to time. What would be a better option? Im into the downtempo/modern electronic type music. Im updating next weekend to the ADAM A7X and the Apogee duet2.

None of those would be investments as they'd lose money compared to the price they went for, new ![]() What about a MOX6, Virus TI desktop and pad controller (Akai MPD?)? It'd be cheaper plus you wouldn't have to step away from Logic, using Ultrabeat/EXS24 for the drums instead of letting Maschine take over. That way you'd get the Motif sounds, but if you found out instead that something like Kontakt (later on) or even the Reason Refills would give you better sounds (hey, it's possible) you'd still have a very capable controller that feels good to play on.

I might say **** it and get a 2000xl for the groove and sound(plus controller factor). Im pretty sure I can get one of those at a reasonable price.

I think you should go Virus TI2 and MPC5000. Makes you get really creative, plus you don't need macs or pcs. Mox or rack-xs would be perfect setup. Sent from my PC36100 using Gearslutz.com App |
