It is just a note about an octave higher than the rest of the synth line. The synth just has portamento.

Seriously, what do you mean by "synth sweep?" These are usually done by the filter envelope or amp envelope. Standard ADSR should suffice.
Like Rogue said, portamento is involved and likely a saw waveform or variation thereof.

I know it's far from a sweep. Thanks guys, I'll share tips as I get better as well.
