Hi. can I route audio through RME-FF800 without hitting the converters? I want my analog synth to reach my analog mastering rig and only be converted by the UA 2192 |

Look at the block diagram on page 98. It appears that everything hits at least one stage of A/D.

not sure what's your setup exactly, but you can avoid FF800 converters if you connect UA to FF800 digitally (via spdif or adat), and use UA for conversion exclusively. but in general, any signal passing thru FF800 and routed thru its TotalMix can only be digital, either coming from its digital i/os, either from DAW via firewire, or from it's converters. |
