What I really love on my Logitech Mouse is the way you can push the scroll wheel to the left/right for left/right scrolling. Also Logitech comes with a software that lets you assign any shortcut to any button for every application separately. Very cool! I think they are rather ugly, though... ![]() Oh, and the switchable scroll wheel, stepped for work, free for internet is awsome too. |

Kensington Expert Trackball. Much better than a standard mouse plus has a scroll ring (hold shift to scroll L>R) Don't see the point of mapping delete to a mouse button as my hand is always ready over that set of keys (alt, ctrl, cmd, space, backspace etc). might be one of the few advantages of using a mouse left handed though! |

Logitech G500, looks good and is the best Logitech mouse atm imo. If you want absolutely good flow, get gaming mouse pad too, Goliathus from Razer is fine. This coming from a long term ex Starcraft gamer. Although to me it would make more sense actually buying a decent keyboard as well, since most of the stuff is hotkey'd anyway I'd say? The difference between rubber dome and mechanical keyboards is insane in terms of speed (lookup Steelseries 6gv2, Filco or DAS keyboards). |

I think the Kensington Trackball and the Apple trackpad are the best 2 options. But you should force yourself to use key commands and you will become fast using those in a short amount of time. You have to force yourself at first, but you become faster getting stuff done and it will be second nature to use after a short period.

Apple trackpad + software for customizing multifinger click/drag/gestures. That's like a 25 macro button mouse with 8 scroll wheels...

Ive been using the Razer Epic Naga. Yes it was originally a gaming wireless/wired mouse, but it just so happens that i can macro a lot of my most used short-cuts and operations into the keys on the mouse. I can basically work Ableton from just one mouse with no keyboard anymore. I use the app that comes with the mouse to keybind shortcuts and common recorded macro into the keys of the mouse. And it works on my Mac as well as my Windows PC. Razer Naga Epic - MMO Gaming Mouse | Razer Online Store |
