Dude I forgot you were there for the production of these songs and can definitively say that the producer didn't actually use an 808. There is no way anyone who makes electronic music actually owns an 808.

No Hitler --> no WWII.

No U.S. --> occupation of Japan, no hyper-capitalist development in Japan. No hyper capitalist development in Japan ==> No absurd electronic toys to satisfy the technocratic elite. And thus, no 808.

Not saying that drum machines wouldn't happen or anything. But there is more than one way to synthesize a snare and it's likely that a different drum machine with a different sonic architecture would have come to prominence.

never get tired of the 808
i get easily tired of bad bs lets just use presets production with 808. but then, that goes for every gear and synth.
