Studio Electronics CODE 'The Purpose' Demo Track

Hello Everybody,

my name is Marcus alias ONEPOLYMER and this is my first post within this forum. Sooo here i am to show u some stuff i done for SE lately...

The multi-recording-track is based 100% on the C.O.D.E. except human voices. Track Effects: Delay and Reverb. EQ's were mainly used to reduce bass frequencies.

Also i done a quick video, nothing special but it makes the audio part more interesting (i'll hope so).

if you are in love with discrete synthesizers maybe this could be for you:

Because of YTs poor audio quality i incl. this 256k MP3 as well

kind regards
marcus

Typing it in Google with quotes points to Knowing (2009) - IMDb as a possible candidate.

Great video and demo, thanks! Though you might want to check the sticky thread on making your video show up properly .

punchy present sound to the CODE. Have to say tho it doesnt do it for me. I find it kind of dry sounding...might have been nice if they had made the se1x polyphonic...prefer that sound over the atc...

Good Morning from Germany !

first i've to thank for your nice comments - THX !

Yes - i took the voice(s) sample(s) from KNOWING (great movie by the way).

Sorry for the YT Link (this happens if nerds dosen't read the manual first )

As for the Video (3D Part) - i used eyeon FUSION (i guess u have seen it in nearly any major blockbuster around the globe). Rendering times are lightning fast even at 32bit floating point per pixel, because of its supercomputing powers and node based workflow as well.

The CODE sounds fantastic (the audio freq. bandwith is huge) even it is the tool for special sound effects: http://www.uzz40.de/TRACKS/GUESSWOT.mp3

kind regards
marcus

@SWAN808 - you are right the SE1(X) has a different sound because of its more vintage sounding filters. But you can feed and mix the CODE inputs with the outputs and give it a more agressive and overdriven sound (like on the minimmog)... By the way i done a polyphonic demo of the SE1X as well on YT...

Very nice demo of this synth - I've been wanting to hear more demos, and yours are excellent! Well done!

BTW: "Everything has a purpose" is not what determinism says. But that's an entirely different issue.

Sounds awesome. Every time I hear a Studio Electronics made tune it sparks my G.A.S. Now I just need some money...

I do have a criticism though. The track seems to be focused more on a minimalist vibe, which is fine, but I don't really think it puts the synth though it's paces, so to speak. I'd like to hear a track where there were less vocal samples and more lead lines from different patches and more of an evolution of sound to highlight different sounds better.

I done another Track incl. massive use of SE CODE8 & SEX1 and also NV ULTRANOVA (cool little beast, perfect subtle combination to the CODE) as well...

Enjoy the Bits...
