Envelope follower...

I'm looking for a good Envelope Follower plugin (not DAW specific). Any suggestions? I specifically need it to convert the amplitude of a signal into MIDI CC messages to auto-automate a specific control.

I only consult gearslutz if I'm unable to find a useful answer elsewhere (kvr, google, etc...) but I appreciate the "help". Anybody else actually KNOW and have experience with what I'm talking about? I love the envelope follower in WOW by Sugarbytes, but I'd like to be able to apply it to other plugins.

What about tracking an upward expander to trigger your midi?
The extreme amplitude is what you're hearing with an envelope follower.
Does it have to be an envelope follower or is it just the triggering you're after?

What about moogerfooger pedals?

No I actually need the envelope follower to automate more than just a trigger. But thanks for the suggestions. I've come across a few plugins that are discontinued but nothing current and that works well.

Well it's not really a plugin, but you can do this in REAPER.

Very true. But the Peak Controller seems a bit choppy, no?

Blue Cat's Digital Peak Meter Pro - Monitor and convert Peak and RMS to MIDI CC Messages or Automation (VST, DX, AU, RTAS)
Maybe I should have listed EVERY SINGLE relevant plugin I've tried. Maybe I should have made it clear that I was looking for OTHER possible options that the fine members of Gearslutz have personally found useful. My bad for keeping it simple. But...Me: "I'm looking for a good EQ for adding color, any suggestions?" You: "Use google you lazy bitch!". I'm sure even to YOU that "suggestion" sounds a bit harsh (and stupid) when the advice sought is more commonly understood. It seems that you somehow justify your aggression/frustration when the tool in question is one you don't personally use or care for (thus the need to use Google). Yet you take the time to help a "bitch" in his lazy quest? I would guess your efforts are only for the satisfaction of SOMEHOW feeling superior. I'm sorry you're so unhappy with your life.
