Thread Starter | I may have fried my microkorg
So I went to Europe and ********ly plugged in my micro via an adapter without looking at the power supply. Sadly, it was only a 110, and not a 110-240v. I knew immediately something was wrong, as it behaved very oddly, but I turned it off within seconds. When I got back, I plugged it in (with a diff power supply - that was def fried), and now it just flashes back and forth between the audio in lights. Clearly it still accepts power, but it doesn't make sounds, send midi signals, and the display doesn't work. Anyone know if it's toast, or if there's something I can do for the little guy? |

Pretty sure its toast. These seem to have fragile power protection. I think your best bet is to look for a used one if you still want a MK. There is a post on the korg forums about a person who fixed a fried one but I bought a broken one once to try the same and it did not work. Good luck with whatever you choose.

Buy another one. They're like paper weights, they're everywhere.
