Thread Starter | Need help with these effects
What effect is on this snare? 1 and 2 I hear that there's a reverb ,but is it locked to the tempo or the pre delay that was put on it just has a good rhythm? also on snare 2 it seems to punch in with a distortion as well and the kick drums Thanks for any help. |

I think you already answered your own question; pre-delay. Pretty long in the first example, so give a rhythmic 'slap-back' effect. I love that reverb on the kick in example two... actually really nice work. Example 3 sounds like bitcrusher is applied to the reverb signal to begin with... then is disabled after a short while. |

Just to add.... not especially relevant to this query... but you can also get great rhythmic results from gating your reverbs. Gated reverb - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia ... Used in combo with pre-delay, you can really get your verbs to form a part of the groove. |
