Amazing Synths in this Amazing track!

Hey guys,

Just heard Ian Pooley play this last night its my new fav jam of the moment.

I'm being very influenced by this pitch bendy paddy stabby sound.

Any ideas about how go to about getting something along these lines with regards to the sound of the pad/stab.

What softsynths would you go to if you were trying to get something along these lines, Im tweaking in Massive/the korg series, nothing this great. Sounds layered I think. Not sure what kind of sounds would make something like this.

Hope you enjoy and the advice is much appreciated, beautiful record!

Take a basic pad and stack 3eds to the moon.

Sounds like a pretty basic pad sound to me. The only thing that stands out is the ramped LFO -> pan, which gives the shimmering / shaking effect. Sounds like the LFO is sine wave somewhere around 5Hz.

Should probably be 3rds or thirds.

everyone was doing that sound in the 90s, seems like it's still around...

Just hold done a 4 note chord and sample it, or use chord memory if you have a synth with it

chord mode on A6

thanks guys! Forgive my amateur knowledge regarding synthesis (I work alot with sampling old records)!

Im coming pretty close in legacy korg by playing a chord -> arp -> autofilter -> pitch modulation!

Any cool vsts to recommend, Im about to cave and buy some synths, getting tired of my sampling style already!
