It's not awful, but not good either. Is English a second language for the vocalist? They need to clear up what they are saying. Lyrics a are a bit weak too. Melody is ok though.

Personally I dont think its hot for a hook no. It would be ok for a pre hook, just seems a bit generic and gay 80s disco for me. Sorry.

Thread Starter | ok interesting point of view. i don't want it to sound gay 80's disco. is there anything i could change except for the lyrics to not make it sound that way . keep in mind this is not mixed off yet so it's gonna be more vocals . right now my vocal is solo with no backings on it but just a reverb and i think that's the main reason why it reminds you of 80's disco.

Its just the way hes singing it and the beat, gives me a picture of him stood behind the mic singing that flapping his arms around in a camp way lol. But hey it will probably sound completely different when your finished so why not put it up again then so we can compare. And I am only 1 person with an opinion, if you and him like it then just go with it. |

How many times do we need this thread Koko? There was this one: Gasolina : electro or not ? And then there was this one: Do you think this voice has the potential to be on an electronic song ? And there was this one: Do you guys think this is a good chorus for an electro song ? Fourth time's the charm? (Oh, and to answer the original question... no.) |

Here we go again. Sounds like 2 Unlimited with a weak vocal/lyric. If only it was 80's disco instead... Corrected.

It sounds like someone who just discovered Fruityloops tried to mix this: with this: Quote:
Personally, I'd re-write all the music & lyrics, get different vocalists, different synths, different drum samples and a different producer. Potentially, you could keep the 1/16th note delay that you have on the hi-hat (although turn the wet signal WAY down), but I think you should trash the rest.

80s disco is awesome. This is not. And it sounds like some weird rave music anyway not disco.

Sorry, no. And while I truly appreciate someone trying to improve on their art and seeking input, I am not sure this is the right place or the way to do it. This (like the other posts) more smell of attention seeking. |

This music is absolutely appalling - there's some brutal honesty. I'm still unsure whether you're trolling, Rapandclap. If you are, I'd have to say you're pretty damn good at it.

I'd Have to agree with the others on the quality of the production but i can hear what your trying to do so don't be put off. you say you only just started making music and thats obviously true but bare in mind that everybody who makes music was at this stage at some point. if you have self belief and an appetite for hard work im sure it will all come together in the end. Good luck! |

It sounds like it can be an album filler for a B list celebrity. I personally think it sounds a little cheesy ,but it shows you do have music theory knowledge and have the potential to make something better.

But perhaps you should start a fifth thread, asking the same thing for the fifth time... just to be certain.

Thanks for that post, I was reading the lyrics thinking; have I seen this before or is it just so generic that it seems that way? To the OP, you're abusing the goodwill of the forum at this point. I recommend chilling out on this topic. -a
