Ensoniq EPS to Roland Synth +10 (Alpha Juno1) aftertouch??

Having trouble getting my HS-10 to recieve aftertouch signals from the Ensoniq sampler.
I've gone into the settings of the Roland and Aftertouch recieve is turned on, and it is recieving note and note velocity information just fine. Aftertouch is responding just fine on the sampler, it just doesn't effect the parameters of the synth. Surely the touch information isn't incompatible between the two? What am I doing wrong here?

Check that the Ensoniq is in channel aftertouch mode and not transmitting polyphonic aftertouch commands. Sounds like Alpha Juno is seeing the poly aftertouch but has no provision to do anything with the information.
