Tips for an industrial kick

I'm looking to recreate that gated kick used in many old industrial tracks. Particularly, something like the kick in Front 242's Agressiva Due. I can't seem to get it to stick out like I want. My kick is dull.
Any tips, or any knowledge of what 242 used in that track? Appreciated!

sounds like a linn kick with either gated verb or short "room" verb.

Thanks. I'll try that out. I have Linn samples from my trusty Dance Megadrums cd.

can we hear your kick (the one your talking about) too so we can see like what you already have and not just where you need to go from nothing but where u can go from what you have already?

Pretty positive it's a Linndrum kick. Sounds like it was smacked with tight compression too.

Thanks everyone. I got in the area of sound I was looking for with your tips. I loaded up a Linn II kick. Then used a combination of a gated reverb and drum plate (lost of reverb ) and compression/gate. It came alive! Sampled that and then shortened the release time of the EG to add some character to the pattern.
