D-50 love? Patches?

Coming back to this synth after ditchin it years ago for a JD-800... I'm really falling in love with it's sound... didn't appreciate it until now.
It really sings and I can really only describe it as being very "vowel" sounding .. if that makes sense?

I've seen this synth mentioned many times here but never in great detail. I'm curious what some of you old bastards have to say...
