Thread Starter | Good price for an MKS-70?
Someone is offering me a Roland MKS-70. What's a good price for one with a memory card, but no programmer? There aren't any on eBay, so I wasn't sure what the going market rate is these days.

They were going for upwards of $800 for a while. Lately I've seen some good deals around $600.

| $600 for the MKS-70 with memory card is fair -- but on the high end of fair, I think. I'd offer $500 and proceed from there...

500 is the price of a jx-8p nowadays so for twice a jx-8p 1000 seems fair to me |

Thanks guys. Someone had one on Craig's List for $300. Just picked it up and it is completely mint - looks brand new. He's the original owner and it never left his rack. |

I know! Major score. I rarely luck out like this so I'm jazzed. Just racked him up next to my MKS-30 and MKS-50, he looks right at home. |

| Great price. Make sure to give yourself a lot of time with it. It doesn't have the widest sweet spot in the world. In fact, I sometimes go through several sessions without dialing it in, and conclude that it's just an average digital-sounding machine, but then I'll hit upon sounds that are bigger, wider, and deeper than anything else I have. Strange beast, that MKS-70, but definitely a keeper...
