So looking for a little help listen to what goes on between 0:55 and 0:56 seconds when the synth finishes the pitch drop and gets all mangled in the low end. How? I can't figure it out! He does it a whole bunch throughout the song, gives the impression something (I guess the synth in this context) is "reloading" or exploding. Anyone have any ideas?

Thats the synth dropping out and samples from the song hes using for the vocals coming in and being glitched.

Unless I'm missing something else.

It's hard to zoom in on the part but did you try automating distortion amount/bitcrushing at the same time? This stuff basically takes the stutter automation of BT and applies it to effects and wavetable positions.

Nah thats another great idea I'm starting to get there thanks a lot guys. A far as the pitch descending synth, what kind of sound would this be? I'd figure maybe a couple detuned saws would be a decent place to start...
