He does post here once in a while.

I just tried the Silent Way demo, and recorded the above clip. My audio interfaces are not DC coupled so the Midi to CV doesn't work properly, but the trigger does fire the SH2, and the LFO works great for some reason
Neat, I'll have to try that! So do you have CV for the resonance as well? I think it sounds like that.

No, I just tweaked it by hand at the end. It was constant for most of the clip

I'm hoping the VCA CV in can be used with a 2nd envelope from Silent Way. It works fine with LFO modulation for tremolo effects

No suggestions for the Slim Phatty? I used to have a Waldorf Pulse, but I think the Phatty sounds better for bass and is faster to program. The Pulse wins hands down when it comes to more experimental, modulated sounds, though.

Had a Phatty for some time, nowhere near the SH-2/SE-1 or any of the old Moogs IMO.

+1 I too had a (lent) fatty and yes against my SH-2 and 101 there was no comparison. Even though the SH-2 was so much simpler it is just wow perfect.

Of course given that list.

Odyssey, 101, SH-5, Source, Prodigy or Pro-one are also nice.

BTW The Echo Audiofire 4 has DC coupled inputs and outputs. The 8 and 12 do not, but this is an inexpensive way to get a Midi to CV conversion (and vice versa) and a whole lot more with Silent Way. A nice alternative to the Motu units which seem to have flaky drivers on the PC more often than not.
4 outs gets you CV, gate and 2 extras for modulation. 4 inputs allow you to run an external CV/Gate sequencer into your DAW world

Silentway gives you 3 super snappy, multistage, set as low as you want envelopes. If you have the CV inputs, it's a big upgrade for most monosynths!

Now I'm wondering if the Audiofire 4 will play nice with my Saffire PRO 24 DSP... my guess is I can't use both at the same time with my DAW, but I've thinking about getting 2 Audiofire 12 to replace my rack line mixer. Which should work together with the Audiofire 4 as one 28 channel audio interface. ASIO4ALL can allow different types of audio interfaces to work together in a DAW, but the latency increases a bit
Time to put the CV inputs on my Andromeda to good use

i used the Silent Way DC demo to test if the AudioFire4 is DC coupled. it passes the 5 minutes @ +5V test. you can get into the +/-8V range if you push it in +4dBu mode

Unless they changed their design since the unit that I own, the AudioFire12 has capacitors to block DC on all the outputs. It's simple enough to short them with a blob of solder, after which they'll pass DC.
