Changing midi channels in Protools with an external Midi keyboard.

Feels like this should be simple, so forgive me if it is.

Running Tools 8 with mbox mini.
Motu Micro lite midi box with a simple midi keyboard in the chain.
Macbook Pro osx 10.5.8

I've set up 4 midi tracks in tools, and 4 Aux Inputs, each running Xpand2.
Midi Thru is activated, Tools is recognizing the midi keyboard fine, I'm hearing sounds etc. All is good so far.

Each version of Xpand2 is set to a different midi channel (1,2,3 & 4).

Basically, I want to be able to change midi channels on the keyboard, and have that trigger the program change in tools.

So, for instance, i want to switch the keyboard from Midi ch 1, (piano in Xpand2, midi ch 1) to Midi Ch2, (Organ in Xpand2, Midi channel 2) via the keyboard.

I want to use this in a live show, so that the tools session can be running various virtual instruments set up to receive midi from several midi devices, and those devices be able to switch between the instruments by changing channels on the devices.

Any advice would be great.
