Thread Starter | Learning Live?
How long would it take to learn Live? I've been using Logic for 4 years now, Reason before that for a bit.. So I understand most DAW concepts pretty well I think. The only thing I saw in a Live tutorial that weirded me out was automating between signal chains using crossfades, I'm assuming that's just a special Live feature. I'm interested in learning for live show purposes, I decided already that I'll stick to Logic for production. Also, are there any great tutorials series anyone knows about? I went through tons of massive tutorials on YouTube before finding a recommendation here for the TST tutorials (which were fantastic if anyone is looking to learn massive). |

Live comes with a built in Help/Tutorial system that's probably the best I've ever seen. Every DAW should look to Ableton in this regard. That, plus a pretty intuitive UI makes it very quick to learn. I came from Digital Performer and I was up and running in no time at all.

not very long i wouldn't think I use it for production and i've been using it for probably almost three months and even though i have a lot to learn i understand a ton about it already its pretty easy to get the hang of and its the first music software ive used, so if you already know something else its probably going to be really easy

| happy cycling | If you have to ask this you'd probably be off better with a workshop where you are shown the ropes and tricks of the Session view. Quote:
