Tying music together

I keep making different parts of songs that sound good ,but the transition isn't always what I want it to be.

In this song I keep trying different rhythmic combinations to make it transition between the two parts ,but I've been unsuccessful.

I thought I needed to work on it melodically ,but when i play it on piano it sounds good.

I think it sounds okish the way it is ,but definitely not good enough for what i expect from myself.

Thanks for any tips on transitioning music better.

Try not to introduce too many new things at once and keep a few distinctive parts from the old sections - you can also build up to a crescendo and drop into a stripped down bridge and build it back up with new things, but keep a few old ones.

edit: there are many methods, these are just a few. Practice is the only real differencemaker I've found.
