Thread Starter | Anyone heard about the Eventide HM80?
I am getting one tomorrow (the seller sent it yesterday). When I searched about it, I could only find it was similar to the early Eventides, the H910 (more memory for longer times and other extras) and H949. But is it a good machine, or just a rare machine for collectors? Thanks Paulo |

you get a tone quality from it you simply cant get anywhere else. I have no experience of the HM80 but if it's anything like the H949, yes it is a good machine and not just for collectors. edit: i just looked it up. it's a half-rack cut-down version of the harmonizors of that time. unfortunatly its mono only, and the controlls are basic - pitch adjust is by ear - no readout. but it will have a good tone. here's the specs, it kind of sits between the H910 and H949 in terms of functionality and behind in terms of audio quality - which isnt necessarily a bad thing. | |

I've seen that photo too. It seems to have some advantages over the H910 and disadvantages, but as you said, lower specifications sometimes don't mean worse sound ![]() I will receive it tomorrow and I can post my opinion about it then, and hopefully it will be a good one ![]() And thanks a lot for your reply |
