How to undelay reverb-only sounds in Ableton?

Hi, I made a very nice sound by soloing the post-reverb sound (so the original signal is not present anymore). This obviously is in delay of the original sound. How do I do the opposite of delaying to that instrument? Already thought of delaying all other instruments but don't want to unneedingly pressurize my CPU + make the sound chain less clean.

Any ideas?

Record it to another channel and then move it where ever you like.

yeah, insert an audio track, select the 'audio from' tab and select your reverb buss. Record the signal, insert MIDI device 'Simpler' and drag the recorded audio into it.

you shouldn't have to do this. What instrument are you using reverb on? Make sure the record switch is not armed on this channel, that could be causing the delay. If that fails it could be a delay function in your reverb plugin.

He wants the tail of the reverb without any of the actual instrument itself, thus, since the tail comes at the end, it has no choice but to be "delayed".

He's basically asking in one way or another the same technique people use to make reverse reverb swells, it's just this particular instance has nothing to do with reversing.

Its an extraordinarily confusing question. Read it three times and still didn't really figure out what he wanted to do.

Are you sure it is not just a matter of just making sure the Pre-Delay parameter is set to 0ms?

It is in the bottom left.

+1 - set predelay in the verb as short as possible.. otherwise just record the reverb as audio and then bring it into a new audio track.

Or if your using it as a send, open IO and set it to Sends Only.

If its an insert, Wet/dry to 100% and predelay to 0ms.

You can set the "Track Delay" to a value smaller than 0 ms / samples.

Setting the track delay to a negative value will have the same effect as delaying all the other tracks.

I agree with those who said record it and play it as audio with a sampler plugin.

sounds like an option, was looking for something with a delay value under 0 like said at the bottom

what is so confusing? reverb happens later than the original signal, and since I use only the reverb as sound I need to un-delay it.

I'm using an external vst to generate the sound I want, and a vst reverb that has the option to solo the reverb signal, so I don't deal with that stuff, but thanks
